SWP Calculator
Plan your regular income from your investments with our Systematic Withdrawal Plan calculator.
With an initial investment of ₹10,00,000 and a monthly withdrawal of ₹8,000 for 10 years at an expected return rate of 7%, your investment's performance is projected below.
Calculation Summary
- Total Amount Withdrawn: ₹9,60,000
- Total Interest Earned: ₹5,84,983
- Final Balance after 10 years: ₹6,24,983
How it Works
Each month, your remaining investment balance grows based on the expected return rate. Then, your fixed withdrawal amount is subtracted. An SWP allows you to generate a regular income stream while your capital continues to have the potential to grow.
Example
If a retiree invests ₹50 lakh in a fund with a 7% annual return and sets up an SWP of ₹30,000 per month, they can create a regular income stream. The calculator shows how long the corpus would last and what the final balance might be.
What is a Systematic Withdrawal Plan (SWP)?
A Systematic Withdrawal Plan (SWP) is a facility that allows an investor to withdraw a fixed or variable amount from their mutual fund scheme on a preset date every month, quarter, or year. It provides a regular cash flow and is often used by retirees to create a pension-like income from their investments.
